WASHINGTON- A quorum of the Board of Elections has resigned, including all members of the Board’s Appellate Panel.
The Board’s Appellate Panel is responsible for hearing all appeals of Board decisions. They are essential to the Board’s procedure and the conduct of elections.
“Without a functioning Student Government website or a quorum of the Board of Elections, we recognize that a fair and free election process cannot be held at this time,” Chloé Profit, Chair of the Board of Elections said. “These elements are essential to having an honest, fair, and open conversation about any ballot initiative.”
Members of all campaigns voluntarily suspended all elections-related activities.
The Board will work to fill all resulting vacancies in order to fairly administer the election.
